HU FUGUO

Born in 1937 and a native of Changzhi, Shanxi Province, Hu Fuguo is a senior engineer with a bachelor's degree. He once served as the deputy minister of the National Energy Administration, Party Secretary of Shanxi Province, and the deputy head of the State Council Leading Group for Poverty Alleviation and Development. From May 2005 to May 2017, he served as the president of China Association of Poverty Alleviation & Development.

Where have we come from, and where are we going? In this day and age for China, I am always reminding myself to maintain this sense of history.
